EDI & Strategy for Tomorrow

The Cowen Institute’s team believes that all New Orleanians deserve access to equitable educational and economic opportunities to build a meaningful life of their choosing. In order to accomplish our mission and live our values, we strive to make our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice evident in all aspects of our work and our organization. To that end, we have an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee and we are engaged in Tulane’s Strategy for Tomorrow work.

Tulane’s Strategy for Tomorrow is a university-wide strategic planning process to guide equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and anti-racism initiatives and track progress from July 1, 2022 through July 1, 2027.

To become a truly great university — defined by breakthrough discovery, world-class scholarship and transformative personal growth and enrichment — Tulane must be an equitable, diverse and inclusive community that welcomes and supports a wide array of students, faculty, and staff. To this end, the Strategy for Tomorrow is a guide for campus units to build learning and working environments where EDI is woven into the DNA of our university.
